Principal Duties:
·Provide direct in-plant engineering support to Manufacturing Units by assisting as Control Systems Technical Advisor for the solution of Operational problems, abnormal incident investigations, equipment failure investigations and capacity improvement initiatives.
·Lead role in the optimization of installed Advanced Process control system and implementation of advanced control solutions in all the Sipchem plants.
·Lead role in preparing Reliability improvement schemes for the assets related to control systems.
·Candidate would be expected to serve 24 hours on-call rotational duty and provide extend duty during plant outages for maintenance, and during plant shut down and start up periods.
·Provide support for data communications systems associated with Process Control Systems such as redundant TCP/IP on Fiber Optic cables, TCP/IP on Cat6 cables, Modbus using RS-485, serial communications using RS-232, Cisco data switches and firewalls, and 3Com data switches and network hubs.
·Provide in-plant engineering support by personally developing project scope definitions, cost estimations, construction plans and schedules, and on-site field support of construction within the Control Systems Engineering discipline for capacity improvement, and de-bottlenecking projects. Candidate will be involved in the total project from the initiation phase through execution to the close-out phase.
Qualifications/Experience Requirements:
·Holder of a 4 year university degree in Instrumentation, Electronics or Control system course.
·Having a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience within a process plant environment.
.Having hands on experience in Emerson DeltaV DCS, Triconex SIS & HIMA SIS.
·Experience in Process control applications such as OSI PI Plant Data Historians, Matrikon ProcessNet, and Matrikon ProcessGuard Alarm Management System.
·Hands-on PLC programming experience for Modicon, GE, Siemens, and Allen-Bradley.
·Experience in conducting investigation on process upsets, preparing reports and come up with recommended actions to prevent reoccurrence of such incidents.
·Experience with Advance Process Control methods such as multi-variable model predictive matrix controls.
·Possess strong interpersonal skills, problem solving skills, and organizational skills.
Other Requirements:
·Familiar with ISA, IEC 61508 & 61511 standards.
·DCS upgrade/expansion project experience.
·Beneficial to have experience leading Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) teams and uses Apollo RCFA method, and leading reliability-focused Failure Modes and Effects Analyses (FMEA) teams.
·Possess superior ability with the English Language both written and spoken.
·Provide leadership and to demonstrate by example concerns for Safety and Process Safety for subordinates.
·Advanced or Expert Microsoft Office competency: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Vision.
Requirements:
* Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree , Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.
* At least 10 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
